Planning for your trip
Plan ahead with essential details on what to expect, along with key museum policies to help your visit run smoothly.
School groups receive 1 complimentary adult for every 10 students. When reporting your final numbers, include only students and adults covered under your schoolâs payment.
Additional parents and chaperones are welcome but must pay the individual admission rate. Ticket purchases for parents begin only after your group has arrived and checked in.
Please share MoSHâs Chaperone & Parent information sheet with all attending adults prior to your visit.
When your group arrives, buses should park at the designated entrance. The teacher responsible for payment should enter first to check in.
MoSH staff will meet your group, review student guidelines, and assist with unloading once check-in is complete. Parents and additional guests may enter after the group has been checked in.
Please come prepared with your final head count, as this will be used to complete payment at check-in.
Payment is collected upon arrival, not in advance. Accepted payment methods include check, cash, credit card, or purchase order (PO).
If your final attendance differs from your invoice, adjustments will be made at check-in. Overpayments will be credited or refunded, and underpayments will be invoiced.
MoSH does not provide food service. Groups are welcome to bring their own lunches, but lunch space must be requested in advance.
Most lunch areas are outdoors at the Pink Palace Museum and Lichterman Nature Center. Indoor space may be limited and is assigned based on availability during inclement weather.
Museum exhibit visits are self-guided unless a facilitated program has been scheduled.
Facilitated labs, classes, and animal programs are charged for students only. Seating for the Giant Screen Theater and Planetarium is limited and not guaranteed for unpaid attendees.
Please ensure all groups and schedules are finalized before your visit and communicated clearly to students and chaperones.
