Voices: Free and Equal Writing Workshop

Pink Palace Museum & Mansion

Registration Required.

Voices: Free and Equal will be for students in 4th through 12th grades and will explore poetry and poetic themes used by prolific writers during the Civil Rights Movement. Guests will be encouraged to write their own poem based on what they learned. These works will be judged, and two lucky guests will receive two tickets to the planetarium. The event will pair with the Black History Month Wax Museum Project, where students will volunteer their time to dress and present themselves on the museum floor as figures of black history.
