MEMPHIS—The Museums of Science and History (MoSH), the parent organization for a collection of Memphis’ greatest treasures including the Pink Palace Museum & Mansion and Lichterman Nature Center, has welcomed two new hires and promoted two team members.
Kimberly Taylor has been promoted to Education Senior Manager, where, as the senior leader of the Education Department, she provides strategic direction, program oversight, and team leadership to advance MoSH’s educational mission. Taylor is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of dynamic, accessible educational programming across all museum sites. After earning a Master of Education from Vanderbilt University, Taylor spent 15 years as a public and private-school educator and administrator of Culture and Instruction prior to joining MoSH in 2021. Taylor now dedicates her career to harnessing how schools and parents can use community assets like museums, libraries, and crafting spaces to create opportunities for students to guide their learning so that when the occasion demands it, they are empowered to question and experiment.
Keiona Word has been promoted to Community Engagement Specialist, where she will continue to support MoSH special events while also growing group sales and additional MoSH community events, programs, and partnerships. Throughout her career, Keiona has led large-scale event operations, strategic engagement initiatives, and systems-focused projects across museums, hospitality organizations, and higher education institutions. Beyond her professional work, Word remains actively involved in mentorship initiatives and youth-focused programs dedicated to empowering and supporting the next generation.
David Branch has been named Special Events Manager. After 20 years of service to the Pink Palace, David returns to the museum to manage onsite daily operations of the Pink Palace Museum & Mansion’s event spaces, ensuring exceptional guest experiences for private event rentals, museum programs, and special events after serving as the Operations and Events Manager for the Rudi E. Schiedt School of Music at the University of Memphis and working for the TN Department of Human Services. David has a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Memphis and is a graduate of Leadership Memphis.
Leshundra Robinson joins the museums as Development Manager, where she brings more than 20 years of experience in fundraising, donor engagement, and organizational development. Robinson plays a critical role in advancing the mission of MoSH, where she will manage donor engagement, grants, corporate partnerships, and fundraising events. In addition to her role at MoSH, Robinson serves as Membership Chair for AFP Memphis and is a pro bono consultant with New Memphis. Robinson holds a Master of Public Administration along with certifications in Agile Project Management and Fundraising, grounded in her belief that bold leadership and aligned strategy create lasting change.
“These team members bring a wealth of knowledge and, equally important, passion to their roles, allowing us to better serve our community, foster engagement, and ensure the continued success of our mission to grow access and instill a sense of discovery and education across our entire community,” Jeff King, MoSH Interim Executive Director and COO.
