In 17th-century Ireland, young Robyn dreams of becoming a wolf hunter like her father, but everything changes when she ventures into the forbidden forest and meets Mebh, a spirited girl who belongs to a mysterious community of people who can transform into wolves. As the two girls become friends, Robyn discovers that the wolves her father has been ordered to destroy are not the dangerous beasts she was taught to fear. Together, they must find Mebh's missing mother and protect the wolves from the forces determined to drive them from the forest. From the filmmakers behind The Secret of Kells and Song of the Sea, Wolfwalkers is a gorgeous Irish folktale about friendship, courage, and learning to see the world from someone else's perspective.
Each of our monthly screenings kicks off 30 minutes before the film, with a craft or other activity in the theater lobby. Films are introduced by filmmakers and educators, who provide special context and insight on the film, and what families can learn from its story.
