Fall Camp: “The Greening of Mars”

October 9-13, 2023

The “Greening of Mars” camps at MoSH Central – Pink Palace will feature a Mars food cultivation program that will give elementary to middle school age students an immersive and hands-on experience related to food production and self-sustainability on Mars. The program aims to inspire creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while instilling a sense of wonder and excitement about space exploration and the future of human colonization on Mars.

Camp Costs:  $275 per week per camper

Camp Times:  9 am – 3 pm

Before Care:  7 am – 9 am – $25 per week

After Care:  3 pm – 6:00 pm – $50 per week

STEAMfest at MoSH

October 4-6, 18-20, 25-27

Join us for a month-long celebration of STEAM with fun educational activities, demonstrations,  booths, activities and more. Included with general admission ticket during this month.

Wolf River Conservancy / Focused on water, Wolf River, Wolf River Greenway, wildlife

St. Jude STEMM Education and Outreach/ We will have microscopes and models to engage students in activities related to pediatric cancers, diseases and public health.

Water on Wheels Van (WOW)/ Water on Wheels (WOW) is a mobile learning experience focused on the science of water. WOW is a 24′ trailer that is a mini-museum allows schools to increase student knowledge about the water cycle and its impact on daily life

Memphis Botanic Garden/ Dissection of a lima bean in order to learn about the part of a seed, plant cycle and seed dispersal lesson.

October 5 / MoSH STEAMfest Community Partners:/ 9:00-1:00
