Toys that Fascinated & Delighted Over the Years

On Display Now

As the holiday season arrives, it often brings memories of gifts given and received and reminiscences of the many toys and games that filled our childhood wish lists. The myriad of toys that fascinated, delighted, and even taught children practical adult skills over the years have always reflected the era in which they were produced. Rotary “voice” phones of the 1930s, “electronic” space guns of the 1950s, and Beatles board games of the 1960s, are among the objects from decades past that are now on display at MoSH. Selected from the museum’s collection of 20th-century toys, you can see these and others on display in the case located at the base of the escalators.
