Celebrating 50 Years of the Pink Palace Crafts Fair Exhibit Opening Reception

Join us for the opening reception for MoSH’s latest exhibit, Celebrating 50 Years of the Pink Palace Crafts Fair, on September 17th at 12:00 PM – 2PM. This exhibit commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Pink Palace Crafts Fair, one of Memphis’s most beloved and enduring events. Explore the examples of stellar arts and crafts showcased at the Crafts Fair and learn about this important Memphis tradition and its continued impact on the community. The reception will feature light refreshments as well as an activity station where visitors can create custom Crafts Fair stickers.

Celebrating 50 Years of the Pink Palace Crafts Fair explores the Crafts Fair’s indelible impact on the Museum, the city of Memphis, and the Mid-South’s creative community from 1972 through today. The Crafts Fair has grown since its inception, bringing highly skilled craftspeople from across the country to Memphis for a weekend of art and entertainment. Through an eclectic collection of fine craft and handicraft pieces, the exhibit will also showcase the craftsmanship on display every year at the Crafts Fair. Celebrating 50 Years of the Pink Palace Crafts Fair not only traces the evolution of Crafts Fair, but also celebrates MoSH’s dedicated volunteer support group, the Friends, who make the Fair a success.
